We left Pacific Rim National Park as some storm systems were on the horizon. Headed back across Vancouver Island to a gem of a Provincial Park called Miracle Beach south of Campbell River. Camped back in the forest under some huge maples and Douglas Fir trees. Quite pretty in the autumn. Some of the leaves are starting to turn.
We are still camped at Miracle Beach Provincial Park and may stay a bit longer as it's a great park for fall camping and the colors are just starting to change. Here are a few pix from yesterday's hike. :)
In this video, I give you a look at the campground at Miracle Beach Provincial Park located near Campbell River, British Columbia. It's early October 2021 and the leaves are just beginning to change color. Being shoulder season the campground is less used leading to a very peaceful vibe.
Then I take you along with me a pretty hike along the Black Creek and out its estuary to the ocean and the beach. The namesake Miracle Beach is the star attraction. With lots of flat sandy areas exposed at low tide and sweeping ocean views of the Strait of Georgia, Discovery Islands, and BC coastal mountains in the distance.
