Mid-December 2021 finds us camped at a favorite snowbird location. The Salton Sea State Recreation Area near Palm Springs. In the video, I give you a look at our camping location called Salt Creek, the terrain, and the wildlife. Later we took a short drive to nearby Los Palmas Reserve to check out an oasis of natural palm trees.

Salt Creek is primitive camping with no hookups but has garbage cans, portapotties, picnic tables, and some fire rings. The current rate is $10 a night in a self-registration box. Water and a dump station can be found a few miles down the road at the Headquarters campground and visitor center.
