Nature break for you as Anne and I visit a remarkable Vancouver Island natural attraction located along Highway 4 between Parksville and Port Alberni. Cathedral Grove in MacMillan Provincial Park is known for massive super tall Douglas Fir and Western Redcedar trees as high as 76 meters, 9 meters round, and as old as 800 years!

in this video, I show some views enjoyed while hiking around the grove on both sides of the highway. It was a coolish mid-May day with on-and-off sun and showers. But no matter the weather the scene never fails to amaze and put life into perspective.

Word of advice don't plan on stopping with a large RV, space is limited and the place is almost always busy with tourists stopping to enjoy this special scenery.
