I unbox and install a premium Blackvue dash cam system into my 2018 Ram 3500 pickup. The model DR750X-3Ch Plus contains 3 cameras, front, rear and infrared interior. I use the included hardwire kit to fully take advantage of the extended parking and cloud features.

The video finishes with a look at my DIY battery backup, some test footage of the cams, and a look at the cloud feature in action. Stay tuned, as I'll return after more use and testing with my full review.

I run a Blackvue 750 in my RV and a 950 two channel in my GMC pickup. I wouldn't be caught without a camera in any of my vehicles now a days. Last Christmas I was turning into a driveway when another driver attempted to pass me on the left and wound up hitting both doors on the side of my crewcab pickup, resulting in $10,000 worth of damage. I sent the front and rear facing video to my insurance company and the claims guy was so excited to see video proof of what happened. Settlement was quick!

Blackvue's interface and app are first class, too. It's easy to download one minute clips to my iPhone. My 950 also has a parking mode that records when I'm away from the truck.

So far it's working quite well. As you say, the app is good and so is the cloud website. The only drawback I've noticed so far is that the camera footage is a little on the dark side sometimes, and there is no way to adjust the brightness or exposure of the video that I can find.

Ray, have you downloaded Blackvue's viewer onto your PC? It's very sophisticated and very useful for interpreting the videos. There might be a contrast/brightness function available. If I want to download a video to keep, I import it into the PC-based viewer first.

Yes, I have that on the PC, and the online cloud viewer also has all the in-depth firmware settings. Nothing I can see for camera video. I have seen some other complaints online about it, mostly to do with the rear cam. I find it most noticeable on overcast days. My Thinkware has a brightness setting that is low/mid/high.

Blackvue DR750X-3CH Plus Dash Cam Review Video

Overall this Blackview dashcam system has lived up to its billing of being one of the best brands on the market. I am incredibly impressed with how well the software and the cloud feature work. Below is a list of my pros and cons as I see them. Cheers, Ray

    Pros:
    Three camera kit
    Quality hardware and cables
    Easy install and setup
    Compact design
    Infra-red interior camera
60 FPS for fluid video, less blurry frames
Hardwired parking mode (Motion Detect or Timelapse)
Handles High Heat – Cut Off Temp 80°C (176°F)
    Backup Battery – Super Capacitor
    Free cloud feature
Optional Blackvue hotspot can be connected
The software works well – WiFi App, PC Viewer & Online Cloud
    Well-known brand name

    Cons:
    Maximum Resolution is 1080P HD
The interior camera is black and white
    Expensive
The footage seems dark and underexposed

To bad it didn't have an extra cam for under the hood to watch for pack rats. Nice camera set up.
