We have enjoyed boating in Desolation Sound for the last week. The fall is a beautiful time to boat here, and the summer crowds have all disappeared. At Priduaex Haven, there were only a few other boats; at Walsh Cove, we were the lone boat most of the days.

In this part, one of two video sights and sounds of our travels and views from Prideaux Haven, Homfray Channel, and Toba Inlet. Part two will be video clips and photos from our return stay at Walsh Cove Marine Park. Stay tuned!

Part 2 - 60th Birthday, Fog and Orca

This video wraps up our 2023 Summer Boating season. There are numerous clips from our stay at Walsh Cove Marine Park. For the most part, we were the only boat in this gorgeous anchorage northwest of spectacular Desolation Sound on the BC coast. Love fall boating!

Highlights were fishing on my 60th birthday and having a pod of Orca swim right by one day. The last day was exceptional. We witnessed a fog bow as the early morning fog lifted during our departure. As we left Desolation Sound, three humpback whales cruised by to see us off.
