Back window view from our latest free campsite. Dry camping in the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge west of Tucson AZ. Quite off the beaten path but we really enjoy the laid back mellow vibe and wide open spaces here.
In this video, I provide an overview and footage from our recent stay in the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is located in southern Arizona about 60 miles southwest of Tucson.
Camping is free with a max stay of 14 days in a 30 day period. There are over 60 designated campsites, many large enough to accommodate an RV.
The video contains footage of our campsite views and dashcam views of the nearby town of Arivaca and Universal Ranch RV Village. Here you can dump your RV tanks and fill the fresh water for $10 and visit the local General Store for food and propane.
More footage shows off the Pronghorn Loop Scenic Drive and the drive up to the refuge visitor center.
