Stabilizer Jack Grease
Just wondering what you all use to grease your stabilizer jacks threaded rod?
with good results and lately have been trying
3 In One
, seems to work OK.
Basically, any lube that is made to not attract dirt should do the trick.
Don’t use spray grease. As a newbie, Greg did that on our squawking rear jacks. We ended up having to dirty them up again, because after you put them down snug, they would work themselves up and loose within a few minutes.
Not sure about spray grease but I use Boeshield- seems to be fine.
We just bought a brand new Jayco Whitehawk. I asked the head of service what to use to lube the slide gears and jacks and he said WD40. This sounded really cliche but he said it doesn’t attract dirt and should be a regular part of maintenance. I will probably try it on two of the jacks, and crc power lube on the others and make a choice from there.
I use WD40 and have not had a problems with it attracting dirt.
WD40 makes a dry lube -
