I'm in South Lake Tahoe now and leaving in a couple days for Las Vegas. I can't drive 8 hours at a stretch and would like to stay either at a cheap campground or a safe boondocking place at the half-way, or farther point. I'm looking in the Beatty, NV area at this point, Campendium shows a few places. Any suggestions or recommendations about this area?
We stopped for lunch at Peggy Sue’s Diner on I-15 near Barstow when we were coming back from Utah last week. It was a friendly atmosphere and the food was good. They have ponds surrounded by dinosaurs with fish, turtles, and ducks in the water.
Such a great idea, and I loved the video of the place. This time I'm racing through, also I'm alone and it's a little too desolate for me right now. Thanks!!
Greg, this place was perfect, I used my sound machine and slept like a log. There were a few other camper and 1 trucker. I felt really safe here, so I leveled and put the slides out for a great evening. Thanks again for the suggestion.
