Beautiful area to camp in. Just be aware if you want to be close to the lake, it will be crowded. However, if you camp inland, you will have lots of room. There are also flush toilets along the beach that were serviced everyday. It costs $14.00 per night of $7.00 if you have a National Parks Pass.
I was surprised at how much there is to do in the area. We drove up to see Horseshoe Bend which is a HUGE tourist attraction. It costs $10.00 now to park and there were thousands of people there. Big tour buses full of foreign tourists were there. But, it's such a beautiful walk and view, that it was worth it to me.
Some other things to do is take the very interesting and informative Glen Canyon Dam tour, hike to the Hanging Gardens, visit museums, and check out all the marinas and the look-out points. My favorite though, was to paddle board on the beautiful lake and explore all the little nooks and crannies and check out the enormous Lone Rock.
