Does anybody have a quick fix for an awning pulling away from its track at one end?

Can you by chance upload a picture of the failure?

Looks like the rubber cord that is sewn in the end of the awning isn't running all the way to the end. What does the other end look like?

On most awnings, the fabric has a cord sewn into the end of it. This cord slides into a channel to hold the awning in place. This is done at install by starting at one end and sliding it all the way along the channel.
Looks like something has happened to the cord or the channel has opened up an is allowing the fabric to come free.
