Putting the new forum to the test Ray! :)
Thought some may find this interesting.
Where I currently reside is in a park in the Verde Valley, near Sedona. For those that don't know, the state of AZ has a big elevation change from the Sonoran desert (Phoenix) to the Colorado Plateau, (Flagstaff) Where I am is about in the middle and this valley is a drainage area for the Mogollon Rim. We were under a flood warning night before last. I didn't think much of it but surprise, surprise! The video is shot where the water has subsided to a level about 4' below where it crested. After checking it out on Google Earth the fact that it is a flood plane is pretty obvious. There is a walking path that goes from the park to the creek and I had sort of wondered about all of the wash debris that is in trees 8' above the trail. Now I know how it got there! - The red lines on the GE photo indicate about where the water crested.
