    Excellent photos and have been out there many times (did the drives starting in Toronto).

    The 3rd photo shows the devastation the area is facing due to the Mountain Pine Beetle larvae. All those brown trees are evergreens that are dying or have died. B.C. forests are much worse encompassing wider expanses of affected forests. Nature has a way of recovering, so time will tell. Note that it took a looooooong time before it was realized that fires are necessary for a healthy forest.

    Even with this devastation, it's well worth the time to go visit - simply a beautiful part of Canada.

    Lake Annette has a great trail around the lake most lakes have a trail.
