Just up grades my entry step got rid of the bouncy tri fold steps and replace with MORryde step above. These steps are solid, they have adjustable legs for uneven terrain. Also put a storage box where the old steps went its small but enough room for chocks and leveling blocks. Steps where easy to install maybe 1/2 hour to hour. The box was a couple hours because you have to take old steps out.

    Nice upgrade!

Cool upgrade, like the extra storage. The only issue I can see with these types of steps is getting into the rig if parked tightly. For instance on the ferry. Can they easily be moved aside?

Ray that is the downfall of these steps. These are screwed into the floor. There is one that has quick connect steps not sure where you would store the steps. I think all the newer rigs are coming with these steps on them.

I made the same change about a year ago. Worth every cent. That's exactly what I do with my box - blocks and chocks. I originally had 3 steps and carried a box to help with the height. But when I looked at foldable four steps they were shakier than the three. Have to have 3 to 4 feet of clearance to deploy, but the steadiness is worth it. Rock solid. My first post on this forum. I've lurked for a few months and haven't seen anything but super nice folks. Not the case on some others. Hello to everybody from central LA. Sam

Thanks, Dan. Think I will be upgrading to these down the road. Are they heavy to put up, like for Anne to do?

there not too bad to lift, the step weighs about 35lbs ,they do sell a strut assist that you can mount, supposedly you can lift it with one finger. I think it’s about $200 us . The steps come in different sizes 2 3 and 4 steps

For those like me that store theirs off site or concerned with limited space in tight sites, check out the Torklift Glowstep Revolution. I put them on ours and they are very solid. Had one time I was checking on our rig in storage and not with our truck, the unit next to us was so close I couldn’t get our door opened the widest, but still had the steps solid and safely on the ground to get inside.

It was a toss up between getting the MORryde or glow steps for me it came down to price which was almost 1/2 the price and ease of putting away, my wife has arthritis and its was harder for her to put glow steps in. I’m one of the lucky one and able to keep my rig at the house so no problem with putting steps out. Both steps are very sturdy so you cant go wrong with either.

Sounds like a very good decision for the two of you!

I had ordered these steps and was totally in love with them. However at my home I do not have the space between my home and the neighbors fence to swing the stairs down. I did buy the other model, that you attach the mounts to the side of the rig. This way you put the steps on and take them off each time. I like them, but it's a hassle to put them on and take them off.

Got to say the Torklift Glowstep Revolution would be my choice. After googling it I found it was more versatile. Rv

Any issues with the steps hitting the screen door handle?

I had no problem with the screen hitting the steps. I have a grab bar on my screen which I put on and it doesn’t interfere with door closing.

Thanks! I do have another question for you or anyone who would like to answer. Lippert makes their version of these steps, the “Solid Step”. What are your thoughts about these? I was kinda leaning toward these.

    Thanks,

    Milo

I would think there about the same, just a different style step. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one.

We had the steps and storage box done at MorRyde this spring and worth it. The wife loves them and everyone whose used them agree they are much better than the original folding steps. We have had no issues with the steps in regards to the screen door or anything else. Storage is not an issue for us since we have plenty of room. Just a great upgrade. Think it thru first.

My Fuzion came stock with these.
I've almost gotten hit in the head taking them down twice, they are not light and not for the weak or kids.
I've also been in spots where the incline of where I was parked made it so I had to take the legs off and THEN it still made the door hard to close because that was as far down as it would go.
On the plus side, they are extremely sturdy.
All I gotta say is you either love them or hate them!
