Here is a shot of where we have been spending October on Vancouver Island close to Victoria, BC
It's not cheap at near 900 bucks taxes in, about 680 USD for the month, even though we don't have a water view and its offseason. But it is a beautiful location in a rural setting which we like. Large sites with a wall of shrubs between each site and good quality hookups.
I'll put together a review video before we leave. https://pedderbay.com/rv-resort/

I used to go there for work. I loved the view and the people were so friendly. Thanks for reminding of the great spots on the island

That's right near where I live. 900 bucks is steep. I was in Vancouver staying at Burnaby Cariboo RV park and it was just over 800. With all the Malahat construction I might look at staying closer to home. There are lots of choices from Sooke to Port Renfrew.

A few shots from this afternoon's walk around the Pedder Bay area. Been a little breezy the last day or so and the leaves are coming off the trees fast. A beautiful time of year, though. :)

Loving autumn on southern Vancouver Island. Yesterday got out for a good hike in the woods to a pretty little waterfall carpeted with fallen maple leaves. I will have video footage of my hike and a review of the RV park we have spent October at coming in the future.

In this video, I give you a tour around the Pedder Bay Marina and RV Resort near Victoria on Vancouver Island, BC.

We spent the month of October there in 2019, and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s a relatively expensive park but worth the cost, in my opinion. We paid near 900 C$ for a monthly rate, and that was for one of the cheaper campsites and in the offseason to boot. The RV sites are spacious, though, and the hookups modern.

The biggest plus for me personally was the laid back rural location, right up my alley. The setting on an ocean inlet is just beautiful, with plenty of hiking trails and nature/wildlife viewing to be had. You are also close to recreational opportunities on the wilder west coast side of the island, especially if you are a fisherman, into kayaking, or beachcombing.

However, a big drawback for some RVers would also be the location. Not so much for me because I spent a good part of my life in Victoria. Been there and done that. But if you are specifically here to check out Victoria’s numerous tourist attractions, just know that this park is a relatively long drive away from town. Also, at certain times of the day, traffic can be a nightmare getting into or out of Victoria from this direction.
