In the video, I demo a new wireless camera system offering from Haloview. The RD7 Range Dominator kit is designed for extra-long vehicles such as a large motorhome, fifth wheel, or travel trailer or a semi-truck.

It comes with 12 meters (39.37 feet) of cable and a transmitter to be installed between the camera and display to boost the signal range.

For this demo, I hook it up on the roof of my fifth wheel and give you a look at the picture quality and range. I also go through the contents of the kit and show the on-screen settings and recording capability.

Overall I give the RD7 kit a thumbs up. In my testing, It performs even better than the MC7108 model that I used for last year's 6-month trip. See my Haloview MC7108 system review - https://www.loveyourrv.com/haloview-wireless-rv-backup-camera-review/

*Special Giveaway* Anyone with an extra-long rig can send me an email at within the next 7 days, and I'll enter you in a free drawing. Once a winner is chosen at random, I'll ship it out. Hopefully, the recipient can install the system and report back how it performs.

Thanks for the review. Can this be wireless as well?

It is wireless from trailer to the truck. Basically it's taking the transmitter/antenna out of the camera where it normally is located and moving it up to 12 meters forward so the reception in the tow vehicle is better for long rigs.

Perfect. That works similar to my TPMS. I have an extender on my pin box the transmits the signal to the cab. I did an install review on my website.

Ray have you run across a back up camera set up that also transmits to a phone app?

Not personally but I know they are out there. They usually are going to use WiFi or Bluetooth. I just wonder if there would be too much delay when using it as a rearview.

I think I would still mount a display in the front to use as a "rearview mirror" but then wanted to use my phone from the interior of the RV at night if I heard a bump in the night and wanted to see what is going on out there!

Angel... Consider a baby monitor. Inexpensive these days.

Anything with a phone would require either Wi-Fi and a router. Bluetooth does not work well for video...
