Exterior door of RV so drafty

    My class A Winnebago (2018) has the draftiest door When I sit in the co-pilot chair to watch TV at night I can feel the draft, especially at the bottom of the door. I end up hanging a blanket over the entire door and tossing a towel in the well just to make it tolerable. Previously I've put weather stripping on the outside of the door but it blew off traveling. So now I'm thinking of buying a door blanket from Amazon, something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z6HYF54/?coliid=IK8DJFO810AX6&colid=3LQD28R4KKCM1&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it.

    Anyone have an opinion or better idea to resolve this issue? It's getting close to freezing where I am now and front of the RV is pretty chilly.

    Have you tried an infrared thermometer to determine where air leak(s) are originating? I would guess around the door perimeter and you should be able to replace the seal (and it definitly should not blow off). I guess you are out of warranty but have you contacted Winnebago?

    Mike, thanks for the ideas. Of course I'm out of warranty :groan: but I never thought of using my little radar thermometer to see exactly where the cold air is coming in! I just checked and air is leaking in my steps even more than the door! Thanks for this idea, now I'll have to get some weather stripping to stuff in the battery door of the steps to keep that cold air out.
