This is a mod you can do to raise the body of your RV trailer or any trailer that you want more clearance. This will give you more clearance for your plumbing and rear bumper which sometimes scrapes when going through dips in the roadway.
The term axle flip can be a bit misleading. It conjures up the idea that you are actually flipping the axle over by rotating it. It actually means your are flipping the axle from the top of the springs to mounting it under the springs. This process raises the trailer the thickness of the axle added to the thickness of the spring pack plus any hardware like the new spring saddle you will have to weld on.You can also add a block or shims at this time to raise it even further. It can be a do it yourself project but you need some heavier tools and a welder. The accompanying video show you how I did my trailer.
