Got the wheels rolling on the old Cougar fiver again this week with a visit to Rathtrevor Provincial Park near Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island. Enjoyed some beautiful fall camping without the crowds. Cheers! Ray
In this video, I give you a look around beautiful Rathtrevor Provincial Park on Vancouver Island, BC.
No, back in Campbell River now, we just went down for 2 nights so Anne could have a visit with her Dad and I could give the truck and trailer a good highway run.
Just spent another week at Rathtrevor Provincial Park, Parksville, BC. This time in the newer loops that made for larger RVs. Looks like they converted old parking lots. Not bad, nice, and wide and deep. Dry camping $35 a night. Better for solar and satellite with a more open sky. The dumb thing they did was make the whole loop blind back-ins.
Hi Ray & Anne,
Those new sites sure are open.
It's amazing that BC Parks can take up that amount of beach parking for Rv spaces now.
I can remember back in the day when my family would go to the beach there, we had to arrive well before noon to get a parking spot and picnic table. All those parking lots would fill up!
Welcome back to the Island, look forward to more of your Island travels and great video content.
