Input RV AC Amp Meter Install Mod
In this video, I install a Drok AC Amp/Volt Meter into my 2011 Keystone Cougar fifth-wheel trailers power distribution panel.

Drok AC amp meter
comes with a hall effect ring sensor for installation on the hot or neutral wire of the incoming 30A RV power cable. The voltage measurement and power for the meter are attained via a connection to the converter charger 15A breaker output. I also added a 2A inline fuse between the breaker and the Drok meter for an extra layer of safety.
To mount the meter, I cut a small opening in my power distribution panel using a multitool with a plunge cut blade. I dressed the leads as best I could with electrical tape and reassemble.
The meter works great and is easy to see from all angles. This AC amp meter will help me maximize our electrical usage during this winter while still avoiding tripping the 30 amp breaker.

I noticed the meter is for only 50hz applications. Is that what you installed? No negative effects?
I enjoy you posts. OBTW, I have a Cougar 277RLS. Very similar to yours, so your mods are easy to relate too.
Nice job, and a great device to have. BTW, I just got an Autoformer and am enjoying the peace of mind with good voltage now. I wish we had it during the summer when our incoming sagged to 98 volts at times (had to shut off a/c's to save the components in there).
Yes, but appears to be accurate as it matches closely with my PI surge readout and my little clamp-on amp meter. They do say it must be a pure sine wave versus square or modified or it may harm the meter. Cheers, Ray

4.0 out of 5 stars It says 50hz, but customer support advises...

This meter is for use on 50hz pure-sine wave power. In the US the power frequency is 60hz. I reached out to customer support and they said it was fine at 60hz too.
