Winterizing a clothes washer
Does anyone have any experience in winterizing a washing machine in their RV?
We are going to leave our 5th wheel in storage in Southern Utah for the holidays and don't want to freeze up the water lines to it.
I'm thinking that I just need to bypass the water heater like normal, then run it for the start of a hot water cycle until I see pink in the window, the do the same for a cold water cycle.
When we get back after the first of the year, run a couple of empty loads through it to flush it out.
That’s what I do, also after you get pink in tub start a drain for a sec to get it in drain .
Good point, I didn't think of the drain!
I just blow out all water lines..(20 pounds). Add a quart or so of antifreeze and let the washer pump it out. Washer, pump, and goose neck all protected.
