Greetings all,
With my 2018 Winnebago I got a backup camera that displayed on my RV monitor screen; it was such bad quality I couldn't tell a shadow from a tree! After seeing Ray's video on the Haloview I bought on and replaced my old camera. I could never see the Haloview on my RV monitor but I knew that was because it was made for the Haloview monitor, but I've come to want the old one installed again.
So I removed the Haloview and made the 4-wire connection back to the old camera. But I'm still seeing the "No Signal" on my RV monitor. I've searched for answers and they refer to (1) "follow the wiring..." which I have no idea where it all is, or (2) "reset the camera" which I don't see a way to do that, or (3) check the fuse, and I checked the RV fuses but didn't see anything.
Anyone know other solutions for this? I thought the 4-wire connection would be so simple to reconnect. Akkk, now I'm stuck with nothing and that scares me!
Hard to know the exact wiring as it can vary between camera systems and RVs but usually in a 4 wire setup there are a video wire and audio wire and power wire and ground wire.
With a multimeter or DC test light first thing to do is look for 12VDC by testing between the different pins. If there is no 12V power then likely it has blown a fuse somewhere.
thanks Ray, I did test the 2 wires that run the electricity part, they can still power the Haloview fine so I know those 2 are fine. I still have to check for fuses and maybe I'll try swapping the sound and video ones or testing the independently. Annoying issue, i want to have both cameras works.
