We just bought some for a window shade, based on your review, and it works great. We decided to use the extra to fashion a cover for the pin-box. It seems we always have birds wanting to nest in it and realized the EZ Snap would work great for that!

You're welcome. :) That's a good idea! I haven't had too many birds in the fiver pin box but one time when boondocked in a friend's vineyard, some house finches managed to build a nice one in a matter of a day or so. Busy little birds.

I use it for the summer heat, then take it off when we travel.

While here in the Tetons the temps have cause the slide-out wall to get very warm and heat up the interior as we all know they do. Well its not the pretties but it gets the job done. Been wind testing already with some 40 plus winds.

Great product. I have a rear window configuration like yours and the Texas sun can overwhelm the ac. This product helps. I have one suggestion and an observation. The suggestion is to put a dab of superglue on the pen where the two piece snap fastens together on the screen. The observation is that I’ve driven over 7,000 miles with my rear screen attached and never has a snap come lose. I have successfully driven with the side screens attached but not sure I want to make a habit of it.

Hi Ray - We are about to order these for our 5er, and need your perspective. I thought you mentioned in one of your videos that you would not space snaps as close if you had to do it again? I re-watched but did not hear you say this so probably just more senility creeping into my head. Would you use the same 5 inch spacing again? I like the roll up option you came up with.

Yes, I would not space so closely. Every 10 inches seems to be plenty. At first, I followed their recommendation for windy environments but have never needed so many attached. So when added more shades I went to about 10" spacing and it's been fine. But summers here on the BC coast aren't particularly windy. 30 MPH is about the max we see.

Thanks for the reply Ray. I will go with your recommendation on the corners as well. This fabric looks very similar to the MCD blinds are 5er came with, I will be interested to compare them.

Good morning Bill. We installed the EZ snaps before with the fabric. The product works great. We installed the snaps ever 10” as ever few seemed to be an overkill.

So sorry for not getting back sooner. Haven't been on here lately. I used C clamps at the top and rocks to hold it down to ground .Has been a blessing this season. Wind moves the bottom around when winds are 25 plus. I just adjust it after the winds die. We just watched a guy on you tube who bought the sun screen at Harbor Frieght and use some hooks he bought on Amazon.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV0jOhJXr7o&t=32s Like his idea and plan on hitting HF when we set back up in Florida.
