For eleven years Jean and I travelled about with our two Schnauzers, Capt Morgan and Casey (brother & sister) or as some would say a Case of Morgan. They loved gadding about to different places as well as our seasonal sites, run sniff pee and poop as I always said. Always eager to go, it seem to me they always knew when they were going on the road. Our little Casey past away this past Labour Day leaving both Capt Morgan and us were lost however we trudged on. Camping will be different this year that's for sure. The Captain is only starting to find his feet, hard to believe they can be so affected. He always followed his sister's lead and usually that was being in trouble. Life goes on and this tory is meant not to make you sad but rather you can travel comfortably with your furry family when you take the time to prepare. We always ensued while a campgrounds they were tethered, quiet and cleaned up after being walked. Remember it's as much an adventure for them as it is for you. Rv

My family had a schnauzer when I was growing up. I will never forget him. Schnauzers seem to be protective and possessive and have such attitudes. Definitely my favorite breed. Yours are beautiful.

We have had four Schnauzers over the years and all have been exceptional family kid friendly dogs. Our first (Peggy) was a rescued standard who had been severely abused but with care and a tender touch she came around. She lived a long time in comfort and with love. Our second (Pepper) was as you say a dog with an attitude and a momma's boy that was loved by all the neighbourhood children, he loved to going sliding in the snow with the kids and the dozens of short walks they took him each day. He too was a great lover of camping. Rv

Those two remind me of our two, Shelby and Sassie. We still have Sassie but we had to put Shelby down last July. They were and are our Babies!! We miss Shelby so much but Sassie keeps reminding us of how she earned her name. x631pqi1d8dxrnxg.jpeg

Since my original post we cannot believe both of our beautiful Schnauzers passed away. Our Casey passed away this past labour day and Capt Morgan 10 days ago. Camping without them won't be the same and neither will we. They had wonderful lives and they provided us with so much.
