Enjoy the home base. We stopped off at the ole homestead in NC to visit family. Put me to work right away. Remember why we went full time now. Got to rewire a 30 amp to a 50 amp so we can run both A/C's in the house.
Look forward to your next video.

Campbell River, BC Estuary - Tidal Time lapse

A 7 hour span one afternoon on the estuary where we camp for the summer at Thunderbird. You can see a full tidal cycle take place. I recorded it with my RVs Haloview backup camera I installed last fall - https://www.loveyourrv.com/haloview-wireless-rv-backup-camera-review/

Ray, do you find that you spend more or less money when you are on the road during the winter? The park looks really nice and I am guessing somewhat expensive. Do you ever RV travel within Canada during the summer?
  • Ray

Usually spend less on the road in the USA since food and fuel is so much cheaper and we can do more boondocking. Our summer park is about $800 USD per month but we spend less on fuel since its walking distance to most everything.

The main reason for staying here 4-5 months a year has been Anne's boating, she usually moors it for the summer at a nearby marina. However, she has developed a joint ailment called PMR Polymyalgia Rheumatica Looks like her boating may be off the table for a few years. So, considering a cross Canada trip next summer over to the Maritimes on the east coast for a return visit.

Sorry to hear about Anne. Not boating will be a tough one on top of the ailment. She can look forward to a whole lot of new photo ops across Canada though . Since being away from Campbell River since June 2012, we are looking forward to being there this fall. Not at the spit, driveway docking in our own back yard

She is thinking of getting a huge telephoto lens and tall tripod and doing lots of wildlife shots this summer. Lots of subject matter right from our campsite. :)

Few more shots from our summer RV park on Vancouver Island called Thunderbird. Our site is on a river estuary, and I've shot many video and photos from the campsite. Here I share a few from the other direction as we walked around exploring a low tide.

We’ll be in site #1 in the very near future. We’re traveling through Nebraska right now. The Missouri River flooded I-29 so we drove about two hours on state highways. The Flying J gas station got flooded, too. It is just out of view in the picture. ojquvp33wxq4sssl.jpeg

Ray, When Lola and I retired in 2015 and made a romp around America, we eventually made it to Miami to stay in my cousins yard. My cousin has a nice location at south Miami and big driveway. They told us after our concern about where to dump, they had a spot to go to and when we took our Home over to the park we liked the location. It"s was a jewel in the county park system. when we asked the cost for a month we like to have dropped. $565 a month full hookups. its taken us 4 yrs to get in the door. Finally we are in. We are booked for Nov. 1st. - March 30th. I will be near my cousin who has now retired and right down the street is a nice 18 hole golf course. The Florida Keys are near. Can't wait to enjoy our winters in Florida. Mom can now fly from Charlotte to Miami and stay with us and my cousin. Get her out of NC for some of the winter.
Just got a call yesterday for a summer gig in NC mountains near Asheville. 35 site US Forest Service camp ground and the South Toe River runs right beside the camp ground. Look forward to our new home July 15th. Smile On

Awesome, it's nice down there in the winter near the Keys and the Everglades. That's a sweet price for the area.

Sorry to hear about Anne's ailment. If you are coming to Atlantic Canada next summer let us know, we will be in PEI provided our trailer survives the storm. So much to see and photograph with so many easy trails to walk as well as beaches and wonderful sea breezes for both of you. Hopefully Anne's ailment will disappear sooner than later. Rv

Thanks, Randy, we spent a few weeks on PEI back in 2011 and loved it, always have wanted to return to the Maritimes for another summer.
