    This last shot is where my camera and tripod blow over and fell off the ledge about ten down at 3:00 am

    Wow! We stopped at the front parking area there just before dark about 6 years ago. We didn’t know there was a campground, just needed a place to park overnight. It was fabulous, being so dark the sky was amazing. The next morning we dilly dallied a bit too long and the ranger came and charged us $15 for staying overnight! It was worth it.

    Interesting. Great message thread. My great great grandfather and family were one of eight founding fathers of nearby Panaca. I really need to explore this area better.
