We bought ours two years ago in February rode them everywhere in the desert on the beach in Mexico up at saddle Mountain BLM land They have performed very well watch out for gold heads in the desert I recommend putting slime that you can buy from Walmart in the tires first thing there's a couple pictures of the bikes and they fall down and you could put them in the back of the mega cab Dodge truck . When folded you can hold them and they roll on the wheels very nice .

Couple of the RV YouTube channels have been showing these bikes but they are around 59 lbs with fenders, rear rack and battery. June & July shipments are sold out so you wont get one till Aug.
Lectric XP

Just ordered two of these Lectric XP's a few days ago, now have to wait until August. Understand weight is an issue the battery is 7 lbs and with it installed the bike is 59 lbs. With the battery removed should be able to lift them into the RV. Most folding e bikes we checked out are heavy, good luck. Hi … just ordered one after confirming they will ship to Canada!! Ordered a black colour and expected delivery will be sometime in August.

I am an avid mountain biker and currently own two expensive bikes but this ebike is more suited to the desert terrain I do most of my boondocking on. The ability to fold it and place inside my Class B will not only protect it from the weather but keep it safe.

I had to carry my mountain bike outside and it faced the snow/salt/dust and rain while travelling. The thinner tires also resulted in me having a slow motion crash at Indian Bread Rocks. Twisted my ankle and that's when I went to Hot Well Dunes (which really helped).

Congratulations on making a decision, we know how hard that can be at times. Congrats on the new Lectric XP bike. We ordered two bikes (white & black) and will be shipped early August. We didn't want to ship them to Canada so we had them shipped to our son's place in Seattle. They should be well used by the time we swing by to pick them up :)

I also ordered from Lectric eBike and ours will ship end of Aug. I contacted the company about not sure what our ship address will be and he told me that once I receive an email from them for the expected shipping time frame, I can call and give them the address I will be at so they will ship it there. He said no problem with doing that.

Klay, I just talked to Lectric ebikes today and found out the exact same thing. They are very responsive aren't they? I mean the actually answer the phone! Little company ... I found a UPS Store and called to be sure they'll accept and hold the bike for me and I'll tell Lectric when I get the next email address. I'm really excited.

Hi Lisa … yes, I had questions about, not only shipping, but use of an inverter in my RV to charge the bike. Very responsive and answered my questions as soon as they confirmed the information. Very good dealing with them!

Well the Lectric bike I paid for on June 22 still hasn't shipped. Now they're saying August 14th for shipping. Two month wait isn't really what I bargained for but what can you do?

Hi Lisa, I'm in the same boat, but my order was placed on June 16 … disappointed I'm not getting it in early August but, in actuality, mid-to-end of August.

Remember, all those YouTube videos reviewing the XP had "demo" models, not production. The pricing is based on a "pre-order" which means they didn't have the stock. They're probably on a slow ship from China.

I finally got a shipping notice and after 8 days its finally en route to me in Maine, should be here on Tuesday. It's been an experience, waiting over 2 months for the bike. Can't wait to get it!

That is great news, understand how you might be feeling. We just received ours after waiting for over 10 weeks. We felt so excited to receive our two ebikes they are everything we expected and more! Thanks Lisa, that sure is good news that you'll be receiving your XP shortly. Considering I ordered my XP a full week earlier, I have contacted Lectric to find out what's going on. I should've received my tracking info this week too since it only takes them a week to arrange to ship out of country.

I got a quick response from Lectric … they are dealing with some red tape and sent all the appropriate documentation and are waiting for approval. The XP itself is ready to be shipped. I reviewed the Canadian/Provincial requirements before ordering and the specs on the ebike appear compliant. Worst case … I'll just pick it up when I'm back in Arizona later this fall.

We received our Lectric ebikes couple days ago and they were shipped to my son's place in Seattle. They gave us a tracking # and everything went smoothly to have someone home to receive them. Next week we are crossing the border for Las Vegas so we will be swinging by to pick them up...if i can get them away from him because they love them.

Hi, I've never relied on only one bike lock - minimum two since I own far more expensive bikes than the XP. Also, since the seat post has a quick release, I also remove, not only the seat, but the quick release itself (if you lose that by accident, your seat now has one position).

For my rather expensive X-country and downhill bikes I do this … U-lock through the frame & rear wheel, cable lock through the frame and front wheel, bike locked to bike rack, bike rack has it's own locks, bike rack locked to hitch.

For the XP … inside my RV :-)

I'll carry one or two locks for the XP too for shopping or need to leave at a trail head.

Definitely choose a lock that is difficult to use bolt cutters on i.e. hardened steel - the longer a thief has to work on breaking a chain, the odds increase of being caught. All locking mechanisms can be picked by professionals but it's the casual thief we all need to be defending our bikes against. Watch some YouTube videos and you'll be amazed at how easy it actually is … if you know how.

Now, you might think carrying bolt cutters is way too obvious; it is if they are out in the open, but not if carried inside a gym bag or similar. A hole is made in the side of the bag so, if observed, it appears that someone is simply looking for something in their gym bag. A friend (bike store owner) told me of some of the devious ways thieves steal bikes - this is just one of them.

Note that this one isnot available in Canada. Technically, neither is the XP, until they get approval to export it to Canada (as I'm having to wait, and wait, and wait, and …). Yes, I could have it delivered to a town near the border but I would lose a full month, of my 6 month allotment to be in the U.S. this year - something I am not willing to give up for the sake of 1 day.
