Finally got my new Lectric ebike today!! It's been a long time since I've been on a bike, I have to ride around a bit just to make sure I'm unsteady legs before I even try it with the battery! :lol:

That is awesome, taking it slow is always a good way. You will be riding it like a pro in no time. Looking forward to your feedback on how well it fits into your rear storage if that is what you choose to do. We have been looking at the 27N for ourselves and curious how the bike would fit. Seems like more then enough space. Hope you are and will have as much fun riding this bike as we are!

An order was signed by US Interior Secretary David Bernhardt on Thursday that will allow motorized electric bicycles on every national park trail on which regular bikes are permitted. Bernhardt’s order gave agency officials 30 days to devise public guidance to help the National Park and National Wildlife Refuge systems carry out the new policy.

National Park Service Deputy Director P. Daniel Smith lauded the order, agreeing that allowing the electric bikes will expand access.

"As more Americans are using e-bikes to enjoy the great outdoors, national parks should be responsive to visitor's interest in using this new technology wherever it is safe and appropriate to do so,” Smith said. “They make bicycle travel easier and more efficient, and they provide an option for people who want to ride a bicycle but might not otherwise do so because of physical fitness, age, disability, or convenience, especially at high altitudes or in hilly or strenuous terrain.”

We are looking at replacing our mountain bikes with E-bikes. Great way to explore and get around the community. We probably won't be going the folding route though.

Yes ebikes in any form are amazing, they offer us the opportunity to go places with ease. When you have the capacity to carry or store a conventional bike frame the options for an ebike expand. But if space is an issue as it is for every RVer the folding bike presents an advantage, without any real disadvantage, imo.

Finally … ordered the XP back in June. Should receive it by this Friday. :smile: They had quite the process to sort out with Canada Customs before they could ship it out. Edit: It came a day early and was able to take it for a short spin … awesome ebike!

Too late...my bike is sitting here with a flat tire. Like TCB said check and double check all fittings, nuts and screws because i found few loose bolts and had to adjust the gear changer because i was only getting 3 of the 7 speeds.

Hi, I was able to get 27 mph today on a flat, dirt road. Tires were at 20 lbs. Awesome bike. Set back to the original speed … to comply with Canadian law; I was curious if Lectric had to reprogram it for Canada (like they did the lock out for 35 mph). Yes, the original pre-Prod XPs were capable of 35 mph; at that speed, many States & Canada would require insurance, registration and plates.

All components were fine, nothing loose, including the pedals.

The bikes ability to reach a reasonable speed negotiate steep grades on or off road, have certainly been an adventure. This week the smallest thorn possible managed to puncture the front tire, pumped it up and make it back to the trailhead. Patched the tube good to go...guess I should have "slimed the tires."

The main drawback is the weight can be a bit to manage when lifting. Although the seat that Lectric supply with the XP is OK, I upgraded it for a more comfortable ride. This is a fantastic ebike for the cost.

Acadia National Park would be a beautiful place to ride, plan to make it there again sometime with our XP's. Where are you able to carry your bike in your 27N?

Yes, sorry I didn't see this question. I fold it and lift it in the door on the back of the RV. Fit's perfectly.

Very good, the 27n floor plan seemed to have a spacious rear storage area big enough to fit a folding ebike. Thanks.

Hi , nice photo, bike fits with room to spare! We have a step-thru arriving any day now. The 27N has been delayed, planning to head out next spring.
