The furnace in our 5th wheel quit working. I think it's the fuse but I can't get it out.

It's the old style - round glass tube with 2 metal ends. They have this grey twist off end. I can get the end off, but the fuse seems to be stuck in the tube. I've tried other ones and they all come out fine, just the one I want won't. Frustrating!

Does anyone have any tips on how I can get this out?

Find a cap from an old style BIC pen . Cut the tab off . The tab is usually the correct size for a bus fuse. If you have a larger size that is about 1/2 inch in diameter .Get a pair of thin needle nose pliers. Rap it side in electrical tap and carefully pull on it. If it doesn’t pull not . You might need to turn off the power and disaemble the holder . Can you post a picture of the fuse?

I'd take more apart and investigate further. If it's stuck it could be all melted or corroded at the other end, neither is a good thing. Cheers, Ray

Thanks Ray. Yes I ended up running to Princess auto and got a couple replacement holders.

I found another one that was stuck too so I replaced both -it was like they were welded in. Even when I had the holder out in my hands I couldn't push them out from the back!
