Ever park your RV at your destination and find your clothes all over the closet floor? We have the large closet at the front of our 5th wheel and the rod just couldn’t support the clothes weight. My husband fixed it (finally) :) by using a 1 5/15 full-round wooden rod and modified 3 shelf brackets with the hook on the ends. He then used some 1/8 flat bar on the top of the shelf and bolted the brackets to the shelf above the rod. For extra security he screwed through the hook to the rod, so it couldn’t jump the brackets. So far so good, no more mess to clean up! I will post pics if I figure out how.

That looks great. You could probably do pull ups on that bar now! I also liked the cedar lined closet. It looks very nice!

Had that happen to us a few months back, we went with a heavy duty metal Rod we got at Menards. It allowed me to ditch the center support.
With winter coming, it will get a test as we switch out the summer clothes for their heavier winter counterparts.

Nice job. Just one of many fixes we have to do when we buy the junk they make at the factory.
