Hey, guys, after we left Lost Dutchman on the 29th we stop off at Painted Rocks Petroglyph BLM for 3 nights. It's a partially developed BLM campground with a camp host, garbage, picnic tables, and fire rings. No water or dumps station. The fee is $8 but knocked down to $4 with a Federal lands pass. So not a bad deal. They have a pile of boulders with a ton of petroglyphs on them.
Now we are over at Ogilby Road BLM west of Yuma. We like this place as it offers lots of peace and quiet plus I have a bunch of new mods and upgrades to tackle so good spot to do that sort of thing. If anyone is in the area feel free to visit or come camp with us. We will likely be here for 10 days or so.
Cheers! Ray

We are in the same spot as last year, here is video footage from last winter
We have been to painted rocks petroglyph twice. Cool spot, just don't forget to dump and fill up water before you get there. Last we were there the only facilities were dumpsters and vault toilets--no TP
Painted Rocks is handy if you’re headed to or from San Diego on I-8. So is Saddleback just outside of Phoenix if you’re on I-10. Both areas have lots of room to maneuver.
Dusk in the southwestern desert. We are finally getting some warm and sunny weather! Highs in the low 70's and lows in the 50s, just about perfect. Enjoying some peaceful boondocking. Cheers, Ray
Boondocking in the southwest! It's all about light. People see photos and videos of it in the broad daylight and everywhere looks like a gravel pit, why camp there? but during sunrise and sundown, the beauty emerges as the rocks light up as shadow and sky play.
