My fantastic fan has been squeaking a little for the past couple of years. I was wondering if you had taken the three screws out on top of the motor to get some lube inside it? The squeaking on ours is still slight and you only hear it when the wind blows it around at low rpm.
Yeah, I took it all apart as far as possible and shot some silicone lube down the shaft.
I has this recent comment on YouTube:
Had a similar noise issue with my Fantastic Fan, reached out to them, told me it was a known issue and have since corrected it; even sent me a new fan since I was under warranty."
Thanks Ray. I called the company a long time ago and found that they don't replace things at no charge anymore like they used to. But the person's fan was under warrantee so I guess that's why he got a free fan replacement.
