We took down all the valances & curtains in our 5er and put new, brighter material on them. We also did the seat cushions & headboard. Not hard to do, just a PIA. We like how they look now that we've got them back up. Problem is they now make the walls look dull!
Looks great. Painting the cabinet drawer fronts an doors white might brighten it up without having to paint the entire cabinet. I think it looks good without, though.
Nice job looks great, we did the same a year ago never regretted doing it, it makes your rig your own. You know it doesn’t stop there, you’ll have the whole rig redone before too long......LOL !!!
thank you Ray. The part that was so tedious was removing ALL the staples that held the material to the valances! So glad to have that project finished.
I don't understand why "they" thought having a dark brown interior was a good idea in such a small space. I have thought about painting and also removing the brown stripy thing that goes around the walls. I'll see how much change I can talk hubs into.
We have done many other jobs before this one. Just changed out the bathroom sink & faucet. Looking to change the kitchen sink at some point. Never ending!
love how yours turned out. I did not have enough material to do much more except make a face mask. I found that we missed the valance over the door. Next time I get to the fabric store I'll have to buy more to get that one fixed.
Changing out the faucets is on our list of “to do”. I am not a fan of the dark wood interior either but not sure about painting the cupboard doors. We are still trying to decide what to do with our headboard...may just remove it.
These look absolutely fantastic. You mentioned velcro, can you explain a bit more about using reflectix with velcro? We took down those RV Day/Night Shades and put up some curtains. Challenging without a sewing machine! My question is, how to tie back curtains when open. I installed little cup hooks along the out side edge, but I am looking for ideas to hold them open. Velcro? Paracord? I went to Fabricland and bought some narrow trim, but it fell apart.
