Believe me I am along with chasing butterfly's & waterfalls. ...

Ray, we have a group of Trumpeter swans that showed up a few years ago at a private pond in Heber Springs Arkansas and come back every year. They stay from November to February
or March. They are beautiful birds.

After a stormy November, December is off to a good start. Sunny, calm, and relatively mild today 7.5C 45F and sweet looking sunset.

Took a drive up the coast of Vancouver island ended up at fanny bay.


Then I got this guy this morning.

Looking for northern lights!!!

Thank you. I'm too far South for Northern Lights but it is on my bucket list to be full filled soon.

Lots of cloudy, gloomy days lately, which is par for the course around here this time of year. Nice morning today, though, and calm. An interesting thing, in the winter, the daytime tides are mostly high, so the estuary view looks like a lake for most of the day versus summer, where the tides are usually lower.

The road less traveled.

We didn't do much traveling this year but this picture reminds me of how much we love the back roads.

we try to stay off the Interstates and Freeways as much as we can. we prefer the less traveled roads such as these. It may take longer but we don't care now... Lots of little out of the way places to see and stop in small towns...

Some Holiday northern lights Early this morning.

Doesn't look like it will be a white Christmas here on Campbell River but still pretty nice on the estuary. Geese and ducks are real busy out there. :)

Most places have stars or angels on the Christmas tree right now. But here we have Blue Herons. :)

A little drippy around here in the Pacific N.W.

Seems a great many ducks call the Campbell River estuary home in the winter. Here is a shot I took of a group of Mallards hanging out near the shoreline.
