Wanting to support a local business I ordered four custom made 2/0 gauge battery interconnect cables for my three lithium battery bank. Figured 8 inches might be a bit too tight so I got the 10 inch option for all four. Drove the 25 minutes out to the place when I got the notification they were ready and picked them up, and rushed to my next errand. Got home and found that they are actually around 13 inches with the lugs, with variations in length varying from 1/16 to a good 3/8 of an inch. Is that going to be significant and/or cause issues/damage. Is it enough to make a stink?

The small variations in length of cables will not be an issue for efficiency or damage.

Good to know. Have sunk a fair amount into the battery bank, and wasn’t cheaping out on the cables so didn’t want to go through that to have the system compromised...

When you order custom cable like 2/0 . The length you give doesn't normally include the added length from the connectors. If you want length to include connectors , you have to specify that.

Looked like the summer student employee guys had done them when I did the curbside pickup, later on a Friday afternoon, and the girlfriends were waiting in the back of the shop so they were probably more focused on laying pipe than cutting wire. I responded to the post sale survey and the owner apologized and was annoyed that the employees were cutting extra length of pricey material…
