I've been going up there since 65' with a break when it blew for a few years. Backpacked a lot of the area, now Rv-ing the last few years. Big difference's since the blow in 80'. Still a magnificent area.
Judging by the color of the estuary this morning, you can tell fall is on its way. I love how the early sunrise lights up the golden grasses this time of year.
Hunkered down yesterday in the rain forest on Vancouver Island weathering a large storm system bringing tons of rain and some wind to Vancouver Island.
We have ventured over to Vancouver Island's dramatic west coast to visit Pacific Rim National Park and the surrounding area. I will have a video out soon but here is a taste from our day exploring the breathtaking scenery around the seaside town of Ucluelet. Was a perfect day, calm and sunny. Take it when you can in the rainforest!
Few shots yesterday from Pacific Rim National Park. Enjoyed great fall weather the last 4 days on the west coast, but the rains are headed this way so leaving today.
Oct 5th, lots of rain last night and this morning but cleared up this aft for a walk around the campground here at Miracle Beach. Fall is a pretty time to visit, worth the rainy spells.
Took a short drive today up Mount Washington to check out the fall colors at Paradise Meadows. Super pretty spot any time of year but extra nice with the turning leaves of the ground cover bushes.
