I just watched the latest episode of NomadicFinatic on YouTube and Eric purchased a 15" (I think) TV that's 12-volt. You may want to check that out, but that's a small TV!
I've installe 3 Super Sonic TV's from amazon all thee were 12 volt LED HDTV's Under $150 also visio makes a couple of 12 volt TV's under $150. I watched a movie lastnight not hooked to shore power Battery Only. I used a cig lighter adapter and plug into the 12v socket where the antenna switch is behind the tv.
New TV usually have external power supply, around the 19V Dc range or higher , that are similar to laptop power, what i did was to buy a small Dc to Dc converter from china and that works great for me. The converter will use the 12v Dc that is in the RV and convert to your desired Dc voltage for your TV.
We power our TV with a Jackery 160 power plant. It's really small and light weight and it will power our 39" TV for about 8 hours on a charge. I, too was thinking of getting a 12V TV, but I had this power plant already so I didn't have to buy a new TV. It's works well for the hour or two we might watch TV at night. It's about $130 on Amazon or they also have a 240W for about $200.
