Yes ! that appears to be the logic. Ironically yesterday afternoon I was explaining to a friend that is looking for a tt that just because your SUV is rated to pull it, doesn't mean you should. He would be close to max'd out before adding passengers, water, propane, hitch + a few other items. I have started using one word a lot; "PHYSICS". Also people don't realize how quickly you can add 600-1k #'s into a rig and how things can go south in a hurry.

Yes, especially if you load it to the rear of the axles. You know, you don't have to be a genius to be a good rv'er- just good sense. A little off topic- there are several people writing rv advice on popular sites and in magazines who have made mistakes- lots of mistakes. I can't speak for everybody but I'm more inclined to listen and follow directions from those who make very few mistakes.:)

And let’s not allow your fellow 5th wheelers off the hook. How many times have you seen a fiver being towed by an undersized truck, the truck and trailer looks like a V from the side, and they’re going down the road wiggling side to side at 85 mph?

OTOH, I love to see a 5er being towed with an appropriate sized truck, running straight and level, with no wiggle and no faster than the speed limit…and in the far right lane. Respect to that owner!
