So I am a solar newbie and have been doing a lot of Google and YouTube searching to try to learn the basics. We just bought a Winnebago 2529RG with 190 watts of solar. Since we don't boondock that is fine for keeping the 12 volt fridge running on the road. Also great to keep the battery topped off when at the storage lot. In the winter I have always removed the battery from my RV and kept it in the garage. Kept it charged and checked water etc. We live in PA so we can go weeks without much sun or even having snow cover. I think I should still bring the battery in over the winter but not sure I need to. So the question, if I remove the battery how do I disconnect the solar so that i don't have power going to the wires that were attached to the battery? Has anyone left the battery attached during the winter without issues? It has a Go Power 30 amp controller. I do not find anything in their manual that addresses this. Thanks for any information you may be able to share.
