    Hi,

Some areas have shown an increase in RVs, not so at Olgilby Road BLM. I'm surprised as to how few RVs are actually here, with some areas completely empty. The monsoons have really released more fine gravel on the lesser used roads and in most washes, a 4x4 is necessary. I'll be back here for Christmas then moving up to the central coast region in California. Weather is good but did get a 2-day period of annoying winds. Cheers, Steve

I wonder if fuel costs and inflation are causing fewer snowbirds to travel south. Also, the Canadian buck isn't very high so the exchange is bad. Maybe more of them are staying north until after Christmas.

$5.00+ for diesel has us making short trips at best, and really looking at all moves as carefully as possible. Along with the fuel cost rise, food & everything hauled with a truck is up in price,,,,,,,,,,
    Happy Trails...........!!!

I think you & Eddie Alleen have the right ideas. I've seen a lot more occupancy in our State & County parks close by. Fuel prices are way up. We didn't let it bother us last year and cut corners in other areas. Those "corners" are getting a little harder to find. We boondock a majority of time, so that helps a lot. Basics are up more than the 8% being touted IMHO... I just have to roll with it and not let it get me down.
