Yes, I did think about them, but wanted a heater that did not drain all the battery power in the night time hours. These wave heaters are very efficient on fuel, and use no electric power.

She is a bit heaver than a typical 5th wheel RV, but we don't have to worry when the wind hits us broad side while hauling down the open road.
I think my truck can handle it....................................

We have an Alexapure gravity water filter. It is like the Berkey, but not as expensive.
It works great and we love having it!

It's coming, here is a few before we installed trim.
I will get you some, let me get the twin slides installed...........

We will be heading south for Texas after the 3rd, so we won't need skirting.
We had our Copper Canyon 5er skirted and heated down under. We had several weeks of around -35 below F. Even with two electric heaters we went through 100lbs of propane in a week easily. We are so glad we built our "Mobile Homestead" home on wheels!

3- below 0 last night, and the "Mobile Homestead" is holding a comfortable 72- above! We heat her with one Wave-8 cat heater in the main kitchen/Livingroom and a Wave-6 cat heater in each bedroom. The main Wave-8 was on high but the two Wave-6's where on low, so that is around 14,000 BTU's. We did not skimp on the insulating of our custom 5er, and it paid off both in the heat and the cold weather. I'm so glad we took on the project to build our custom RV the "Mobile Homestead"!
BTW- We are still "Off-Grid" running on our solar power........

@Ray There will never be a replacement for Angie, Just like our good old "Zip" stick fetching dog we just lost to a stroke two months back.

But things can happen, like this sweet little short hair border collie wandering into our camp 4 days back.
We found her owner and thay are moving and tried to home her with a working cowboy friend.
So that did not work.
Well she wandered off and became Laura's new bunk mate! The two of them have been hanging out together ever sense!
