New video up, part one of my review of an ICECO Portable AC-DC Fridge/Freezer. I’ve augmented our RV and boat refrigerator for five years with a second portable AC/DC unit. The portable unit can be a fridge or a deep freezer, which allows for many handy uses while camping. loveyourrv.com/iceco-port
I use it in fridge mode to slowly defrost large pieces of meat like roasts or turkey, store beverages for parties, or keep groceries cool when transporting them back from shopping. In freezer mode, it expands our frozen food storage capacity greatly. We can stay in remote locations longer and save money by buying meat in bulk or when on sale.
Recently, ICECO contacted me and offered me one of their JP Pro Series portable fridges/freezers for review. Based on several interesting features, I decided to accept the offer.

In this video, a 2-month update on the ICECO JP50 Pro AC/DC portable fridge freezer I'm testing out this winter. I give my review summary so far and look inside at the unit's guts, including the compressor. One big selling point is the product uses a Secop (formally known as Danfoss) compressor. They are touted as one of the best DC compressors for portable fridges. Sure enough, there is a Secop BD35F compressor, but I did note it's made in China. I'll be back after a few more months of testing with my final review for you. Stay tuned. youtu.be/XHLDUorRLFM
