Today's boat prep task was installing an upgraded raw seawater pump, which helps keep the big red diesel running cool by circulating cool ocean water through heat exchangers and then out the exhaust. I am down in the engine bay, pulling the old one out. :)

In this video, I replace/upgrade the OEM Jabsco raw seawater pump with a Johnson ordered from American Diesel Corp. The upgraded pump is a one-piece design, increasing reliability. The AD kit includes a longer oil cooler hose and a small metal pin to block pressurized hot oil, preventing leaks around the gasket. Mating surfaces and the pin get coated with Permatex #2 Sealant. loveyourrv.com/raw-sea-wa
