In this video, I show you a recent DIY upgrade we did for our CHB trawler’s upper helm captain’s seat. Sadly, the original bench-type seating lacked both comfort and visibility. Adding a shock absorber suspension and a new padded bucket seat has made a huge difference for Anne, especially if the seas get rough or for those long days at the helm.
By painting the existing wood base teak and ordering the tan seat color option, the package looks great on our old 70s-era boat.
