Headed up I15 towards Utah yesterday to camp at a favorite that was closed for a few years. Virgin River Canyon Rec Area. There is a BLM campground, $8 a night, and even cheaper at $4 for USA seniors with the National Parks pass. recreation.gov/camping/ca

Spring 2024 is off to a good start with a beautiful evening by the fire at the Virgin River Gorge. It's located up in the north west corner of Arizona. Within about 35 miles of travel on Interstate 15, you're in Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.

Here are some shots from a hike in the Virgin River Canyon Rec Area. It was a gorgeous spring day. I felt like going for a swim, but the river was moving pretty fast with snow melt.

Today was moving day from the upper loop to a campsite on the lower loop at the Virgin River Canyon campground. Tomorrow, we should be a little more sheltered from the wind as a cold front is moving through the next few days.
